You will find below a detailed overview of what the MyLiveTV Management platform is all about as well as what you can do with it. it is divided in 4 sections: 1. Broadcast Live, 2. On Demand Videos, 3. Playlists and 4. My Report.

1. Broadcast Live

You will find in this section, a detailed descrition on how to use MyLiveTV to broadcast live from your website.

First step to broadcast live is to get your tools ready. To do so, you will need to click on "Manage Live Streams" then click on "Setup Your stream tools". Once there, download Adobe Flash Media Encoder 3.0 (no worries, it’s free), then open Flash Media Encoder and, finaly, copy and past the FMS URL (this a unique URL that you will use for all your streams)that you can find on the page in the corresponding field in Flash Media Encoder.

Second step is to create a new stream. To do so, click "Manage Live Streams", then click "Create a New Stream". Select a stream name and once all information have been field in, click the "Create Stream" button. Shall you wish to record the live broadcast, tick "Record the stream?". The recording will be listed on "Manage Videos".

Now that you downloaded your tools and created a stream name, you are ready to broadcast live. Your third step will be to copy and past the stream name you created in the "stream" field on Flash Media Encoder.

On the Flash Media Encoder (FME), select your Video format (we recommend VP6 as it will save file with a .flv format) and your audio format (we recommend mp3), then, select the frame rate, size and bit rate. Click ‘start’ to broadcast, you are now live to potentially millions of people.

To Preview your live stream, Click "Manage Live Streams" then, click the "Preview" link of the corresponding stream name you create.

To publish the live stream in your website copy the JavaScript code located below the player in the Single Live Preview page and past it in the HTML page where you wish to publish it. You are,now, all set for your broadcast.

2.On Demand Videos

You will find in this section, a detailed descrition on how to use MyLiveTV to publish videos from your website.

MyLiveTV Tool - On Demand Media

First step, enter video information, origin, targeted audience as well as the file location of your HD video and SD video as well as thumbnail picture, and finally, click "Upload Video". If you only have one video quality, insert the file loaction in the HD field and leave the SD field blank. If you do not have picture to upload, leave the field blank.

Note that the maximum file length is 5 GB (shall you need to upload longer video, contact admin). MyLiveTV gives you the freedom to upload any quality of video file and keep the original size (from very low resolution up to HD), therefore, the only format supported is FLV (MyLiveTV recommends ON2 Flix conversion tools).

The uploaded video will appear in "Manage Video" (as long as the video is uploading, it will appear as pending). From there you can select to preview the video, edit the details about the video or delete the video. Shall you have very large files to upload you can request a free FTP account to upload directly to your account via any FTP tool (I.E.:Filezilla).

After clicking on ‘preview video’ from "Manage Video", you can preview the video, copy and paste the player code to integrate in the html code of your website or get the RTMPE URL code to build your own player. Note that, if you build your own player.

3. Playlists
You will find in this section, a detailed descrition on how to use MyLiveTV to create playlists that include live streams and/or videos as well as how to publish them from your website.

First step, Click "Manage Playlists", then click, "Create a New Playlist", and finally, enter playlist information, origin and targeted audience, once done click the "Create Playlist" button.

Click "Manage Playlists" to view the playlists you created. From there you can preview, edit, manage or delete them.

To add or remove live streams and/or videos to the playlist, on the "Manage Playlists" page, click the "Manage" link on the playlist you wish to update. You can change the order in whish the videos or live streams are played by moving them up or down in the list. To remove a live stream or video from the playlist (note that they will not be deleted), tick the box beside the live stream or video you wish to remove and click the "Remove from Playlist" button. To add live streams and/or videos to the playlist, on the "Manage Playlists" page, click the "Manage" link on the playlist you wish to update, from there, click the "Add to Playlist" Button. Then tick the box beside the live stream or video you wish to add to the playlist and click the "Add" button to confirm. You can then move the live stream or video up and down in the playlist to change the order in which they will play.

To preview the playlist, on the "Manage Playlists" page, click the "Preview" link on the playlist you wish to preview. From there, you can copy the playlist code that you will be able to past in your website.

4. My Report

In This section you will fin how to use MyLiveTV to monitor your account usage as well as make a payment to MyLiveTV. You will also find how to use Google Analitics to monitor your viewers.

My Report gives you, at any point of time, the data transfer and data storage used during the month, as well as, the amount of money spent and the amount of money remaining. From there you can also add money to your account.

To view reporting about your viewers you will need to subscribe to Google Analytics and replace the UA-403304-9 of the embeded code by the one provided to you by Google.
